UPDATE – Why we cannot hear as many of you as we wished? The answer is simple:
The only hotel who agreed to our antenna installation was Pousada de Coloane. The problem is that we are encircled by close mountains to West, East and North. The mountain wall begins just a couple of meters behind our antennas and peaks to 172.5m. So the angles of radiation are 40-60 degrees depending on direction. Any more questions? We spend a lot of money on this trip and we are as frustrated as you. Only making CQs and not copying anything…
October 19 – Today the operators finished antenna work – putting up VDAs for 17m and 15m. Their location has mountains in close distance to the East – North West directions. Only to the south there is beach and sea (long path to North America – see photos).
October 15 – Today both operators visited DSRT office and they received the callsigns XX9TIH (SP9FIH) and XX9TUD (SP2FUD). Tomorrow they expect inspection of stations and then QRV.
August 7 – Polish operators SP9FIH and SP2FUD will be active from Coloane Island AS-075, Macau between October 16-28, 2015.
QRV on 40-10m, SSB & RTTY. Callsign will be known first day of operation.
