UPDATE – Vlad UA4WHX recently informed readers of DX-World that his South American tour was over. (He travelled the length and breadth of that continent with his wife Irina and made very many operators happy giving new band slots and modes).
On June 5th, he sent the following image and asked: “Guess where I am now?!!”
We then decided to ask readers where they thought Vlad might be. Some of you guessed correctly! Today we can reveal his “mystery” QTH was in fact a place he had operated from before – Egypt.
Vlad explains:
The correct answer is ‘Egypt’. The QTH is Al Quseir (SU9VB). Half way between Hurgada and Marsa Alam, on the coast of the Red Sea. Quite a few people came up with the correct answer. The photo was taken in front of the area community hall before a wedding of a local friend. I attach a few photos from the area and me. They should explain why I had no time for the radio.
