NEWS UPDATE – Dates are not confirmed, but Bob DU7ET could soon be active from Diego Garcia as VQ9T later this year. His job is a radio officer aboard a ship, however opportunities may arise to go ashore and operate. Time spent on the ship could be 4-5 months. In 2015 he was active as VQ9ET (see below).
MARCH 26, 2015 — Bob, DU7ET is based at Diego Garcia (AF-006) for the next three months. Using the callsign VQ9ET, so far he has been active on 17m CW and plans to QRV again at the start of April. He uses a FT-857D and into “simple” antenna. QSL via DU7ET.
