A team of four ops will activate VI9NI – Chris VK3QB, Luke VK3HJ, Patrick VK2PN and David VK3BDX.
VI9NI is being activated to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Norfolk Island Act. The Act granted the Australian external territory of Norfolk Island limited self-government. The Act formally established the Norfolk Island Legislative Assembly and gave the Assembly powers to pass, amend, and repeal laws, and – subject to the assent of the Administrator of Norfolk Island – executive powers.
The activation will commence on 1 April 2019 and cease on 14 April. The team will operate two stations from 160m-17m with focus on FT8, CW and SSB.
FT8: We will operate FT8 on all bands and will operate in split modes as required for some Countries.
We will be using WSJT-X version 2.1 in Fox Hound Mode on nominated frequencies Due to the large number of DX operations active during this time we will announce the frequencies on this page and also on the Clusters as we change bands.
Please familiarise yourself with WSJT-X Fox Hound mode and only call above 1000. Duplicate contacts on the same band will not be permitted.
