Bob, VK2RG informs DX-World that he will be leaving for Funafuti, Tuvalu at the end of this week and active as T2RG for 7 days.
Primarily on work placement (Bob maintains satellite equipment for a shortwave broadcaster), he is taking a Yaesu FT-857D and a multiband dipole for 10-15-17-20-30m; possibly 40m.
QRV on JT65, SSB and WSPR. QSL via (direct) homecall.
Bob also mentions:
I hope to get some locals hooked on ham radio and start a radio club, and T2 could become a little more active. This is the first time I am carrying ham gear, usually I just do the jobs and leave. Later in May I will be in Marshall Islands followed by Kiribati, have yet to investigate licensing in these places.
