This is not ham radio, and we hadn’t heard of it before, but since it’s UN World Radio Day, we thought a good idea to post this link to a pretty neat website called Radio Garden. It’s self-explanatory and certainly very interesting listening to the different musical tastes and styles of each country or island. Have a play around the globe.
I got the same info some month ago. It’s a nice thing to get all these stations in good audio quality. But for an SWL who started the hobby by so called BC-DXing (Broadcast-DX) it is only a limited substitute for the exicting times, when you could receive a lot of big and small radio stations from all over the world by direct shorwave-listening. But due to mostly financial reasons the number of active shortwave-radiostations descended dramatically and stations passed over to online-listening.
Times go bye….
HI
forwarded the link to a fellow VE ham and here is his comment what happened to him:
tried that on my Mac and it raised hell with it—first it pixelated the screen, then blackened it out. I had to shut down and
do a restart. It was almost like a virus—not sure what. I had received this from another friend one time and it did the same thing,
so won’t try it again. I was afraid the restart may not bring it back to normal but so far so good!!
Works fine on my Wn 10 Pc anyone else with a Mac has that problem?
