UPDATE – A few pictures from the island found here

August 26 —

We have 12-hour window between 2 cyclones.. One crazy man can take us to the island!! Operating time can be very short and lasting 30-35 hours only!!! We’ll using an ultimate “One QSO in hand” policy regardless band or mode!!!

August 22 — Two UE23RRC team members (R7AL and RK8A) will fly from Petropavlovck-Kamchatskiy to Ust-Hayryuzovo tomorrow (August 23) and will then try to land on Ptichyy Island, AS-091. Everything depends on weather conditions, along with difficult logistics. Look for R23RRC approx August 25-28.
