Examination of the WA7BNM Contest Listing shows that there are several contests of some kind every weekend throughout the year. Without counting the major World-Wide Contests, and band/mode-specific contests, there are also many smaller contests with limited appeal which contribute to the chaos which we often encounter during weekends, particularly on 20M. Among these are at least 30 run by various U.S. States, and almost 20 by individual EU countries.
