QRT – We did it! What an exciting expedition that we will not forget. We had a lot of fun and we hope you did too. Setting up camp in the Arctic is not an easy task and the changing weather reminded us of this on several occasions. We had to put a lot of effort into maintaining the antennae and a large female polar bear with her cub visited us from far away. We will return with more details about the contacts and our impressions. Thanks for the pile up.
JULY 20 @ 0800z – The JW0W team is now leaving Oslo for Longyearbyen. All luggage is loaded and they are ready to go. They are checking weather for the boat for tomorrow. It looks not too bad at the moment. Next news from Svalbard.

Thanks Per I will ask LA7XK but I guess he, as most ham visitors, going to Longyearbyen which has no clear path to the satellite in south direction due to high mountains. The angle to the geostationary satellit is just about 3 degrees! Your QTH looked more promising for that.
Good luck with the expedition best 73 to team.
Thomas you better ask LA7XK. He is QRV QO-100 from homecall, and is going to JW in October.
Any chance you could consider satelite operation via qo-100 sat? very need new country for many.
