SOTA DXpedition to Svalbard.
JW/LB8CG and JW/LB1RH will be active from Svalbard during 5th to 8th August 2021. Main objective for DXpedition is to activate 3 SOTA summits.
Preliminary SOTA activations will take place on 5th and 7th of August and on 6th and 8th August they will be active from Longyearbyen.
Please refer to SOTA alerts web service for estimated arrival time and summit references. They will have 2 hours at each summit, which means depending on weather about 1-1.5 hour for running radio. During portable activities they will use an Elecraft KX2, KX3 and Yaesu 857d radios, vertical and EFHW antennas. QRV on CW and SSB; focus 40-17m; they may also try other bands and modes while in Longyearbyen. QSL via bureau.
