NEWS UPDATE by J28JD – DXpedition station in Djibouti, Africa for the remainder of 2022. Antenna currently is a Chameleon skyloop antenna. We are installing more antennas soon. Established VARA HF Winlink station. PSE monitor winlink.org for active frequencies. Utilizing 20m and 40m. Soon installing WSPR beacon on 20m and 30m. Occasional CQ calls workload permitting on 10, 20, and 40m SSB. CW new operator and looking for patient CW operators for slower WPM QSO’s.
APRIL 1, 2022 – Few days ago, we mentioned about another operator joining Matt J20MR at the US Navy Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti. The new operator is Paul, N7JDI and his callsign is J28JD. We also reported he had a “better station” than Matt and will hopefully be QRV soon. QSL info to follow.
