Vlad UA4WHX exclusively updates DX World readers from Easter Island:

Hi! We are on Easter Island. We have found a place a little distance away from the main village which helps. It has a tower and serves as a center of communications for a local taxi company. What does not help is constant power cuts and a major geomagnetic storm that disrupted almost all conditions recently. Bands stay close almost all the time. The openings are short and not good for long distances. That makes it difficult to dodge between shortage of power supply and limited conditions.

With more time on our hands we get to see and know the local more. That includes fishing for meals, harvesting local wild guava and cooking the Rapa Nui way.

This time we will be lucky to make one QSO with anyone at all. Forget slots and modes!
