*A note on YX0LIX:
On April 20,2006, the Aves Island 2006 DXpedition YX0A initiated its transmissions and several hours later, our 80 meter SSB and digital operator Jose Valdes YV5LIX suffered a severe heart attack that took away his life. The dream of any DXer to be in a DXCC country DXpedition had been accomplished. His teammates decided to continue the DXpedition in his honor, using the callsign YX0LIX under the inmediate approval by the Venezuelan National Commission of Telecommunications officers present in the DXpedition. His remains were airlifted by helicopter to the frigate and sailed to Caracas.
