NEWS UPDATE – The last contacts were made this morning on 20 and 40m, bringing the QSO count to 17880 (for HF). Still waiting for the EME log (now at 300+ ! – and counting).
C8T is off the air now, the EME station will operate till 13:00z. Getting antennas and equipment packed, and prepare for the flight home now.

C8T made a brief appearance on 30 meters FT8 around 0548Z on 05-10-2018, calling CQ. They responded to my call, but my software was unable to reply to the information they sent back. I’m guessing it was in Fox/Hounds exchange format. The reply from the DX was this:
” 054800 -17 0.0 292 ~ AA2IL RR73; W6DX -16 ”
Although I am running the latest RC4 software, the system was unable to respond so the contact was lost. The C8T website says nothing about FT8 operations or any DXpedition mode parameters. Does anyone know if the are using Fox/Hound protocall and didn’t tell anyone? —Barrie, W6DX
