JUNE 1, 2022 – C5B will again be active from Bijol Island, AF-060 on June 7th between 0900-1600z. Preparations with police authorities and rescue department in progress. 

NOVEMBER 10, 2021 @ 10:30z – Team arrived the island and now setting up. Pictures courtesy F5RAV.

NOVEMBER 10 @ 0900z – Team is ready to go to the island. They will be using battery only as fuel is in short supply in The Gambia. 

NOVEMBER 8 – Here’s a copy of the C5B license with permission to operate from Bijol Island, AF-060. This will be a one day only activity on Wednesday (Nov 10) using an IC-7000, dipole and QRV on CW, SSB & FT8. 

NOVEMBER 4 – The C5C team have been been assigned the callsign C5B for their expedition to Bijol island tentatively planned for next Wednesday, Nov 10th. They have arranged this difficult to access island group with the local rescue service & police. More details to follow, but they hope to QRV on 20-15-10m using dipoles.
