Great news! KH8 is still needed a lot in Europe.
Yes we know, that’s why we are going there!
Call Sign has been confirmed: N8A
See you in November
73′s Jacky, ZL3CW
Tnx for this good news indeed.
I’m not sure that November is the best period for high bands, at least if you target Western Europe.
KH8 sunrise # 16:45z
KH8 sunset # 05:20z
West-France sunrise # 07:10z
West-France sunset # 16:30z
There is no common daylight path actually.
At the opposite, focusing on low bands would be great to enjoy common darkness path and grey-line enhancement….
We was hoping that your team would do alittle ssb while your there.
Will be looking on the packet cluster on all bands. Thanks, and have a safe trip.
Don’t worry we will be on SSB & RTTY as well.

Well, looking at the packet cluster, all the contacts made have been
CW, so did we bring along that special mike for S.S.B ????
Does exists an Online log for this Dxpedition ?
There is on line log?
it looks like they have a Club Log account, but have not uploaded anything yet – https://secure.clublog.org/logsearch/W8A
First QSOs for W8A been uploaded few minutes ago. There will be 3 different logs: W8A, N8A and 5W8A.
Thanks for the S.S.B. coverage on 10 meters. Would their be any way to have a S.S.B. contact on 20 meters with the team????
Tnx a lot to all the team for the new one for me on 20 meters, hoping to have the pleasure to get a qso also on the other bands.Good luck.73′s
It’s nice to see that they finally started some RTTY operation. Of course at times, when EU either has no propagation or is at work (the not yet retired ones, who still have to go to work). But never the less, the statistic will show a certain amount of RTTY QSO’s so nothing to worry about.

Ah, only 30M required from W8A … Lots of coffee tonight and ready for W8A on 10.116 CW! :-)
Tnx for the new one on 12m CW 21/11/13 @ 17:46 but pse correct my call from EI9GBB to EI9FBB. Best of luck in this weekend’s contest – I’m sure you’ll be 1st in American Samoa – lol.
You’re making many happy-keep up the good work. Thanks for putting on this semi-rare one.
vy 73 de Dave EI9FBB – stay safe!
Just found some time to take a look at the statistics of W8A.
A whopping 261 RTTY-QSO’s with EU.
So you could not completely escape the EU’s by choosing your RTTY operating times ;-)
Hoping for the next DXpedition to get American Samoa in this mode.
