UPDATE – The only change to the trip now is its duration. Rather than returning on 11 Oct, for a number of safety (wx) and cost considerations, the return date will be on either 7, 8, or 9 October.
Wow, great. Can’t wait to work you again on different bands and modes. Have a safe trip to/from Sable Island.

Why take monobanders given your 1400lb weight limit ?
Logging will be on paper – so no RTTY I suppose :-(((
Yes that’s a strange decision to take papers instead of computers, specially nowadays where a low cost 300us$ netbook weight only 1kg … I can not believe they want to get into this paper logging nightmare (and difficult qsl managment) just to save 3kg !! .. personally I would skip the “military aluminium surplus mast” and replace by a lighter one so save wieght .. or even decide to remove one jeans clothes (about 800g weight) and replace by a lightweight cotton one.. etc .; there is so much things to cut weight before thinking about the logging computers :)
Good luck to them anyway, hope to qso on my missing bands
Another update has appeared today on their website.
Dxpedition duration is shortened. Expected QRT will be October 7,8 or 9 instead of 11.
No RTTY…bummer! Good luck guys. 73!
Dr Pepper??? Ewwww yuck
Congratulations on the fine Dxpedition. Hope to work you on 20 mtr Grey line. Please do listen for VU3DMP
Wish you safe return journey
The QRM, behaviour on 14.195 is a joke making Amateur radio look like a fraternity of retards. Most QRM, jamming, comments from EU but certainly not all. Why use a known frequency 5that has been jammed for years by IT9RYH?
Glad to make qso with small pistol & vertical between a lot of big gun/73 and tks from LU land.-
Nice operator but very bad behavior with QSL management for such rare DX . On QRZ.com we can see
QSL: VIA VE1RGB DIRECT ONLY.
What kind of operations is this ?
So then let’s visit http://cy0dxpedition.com/ to get an explanation. There I can read “Operations from CY0 are not in-expensive. Please consider this fact in helping to offset the costs of QSL’ing.”. Sure ! Vill I make a donation by sending money in the envelope ? No.
But ever heard about Paypal? Clublog ? Online donations ?
“Since most of the logging will on paper (i.e., to save weight), LoTW, eQSL and ClubLog will not be supported.”. That the worst argument I have ever read to not accept any use of recent tools that have changed the way we validate and verify our contacts.
Would have been nice if you’d worked everyone, all you seem to work was Japan, heard you a solid 59 on 15 since you started but listened for hrs waiting for you to take calls You did do it by the numbers once but by the time you got to 7′s you were gone. A very poor DXPedition
If your team would turn your beams to North America more, you would
have made many more contacts than you have, In your comments, this
DX Expedition was mainly geared to Europe and the Far East, and I know there are a lot of hams in North America that need Stable Island for dxccc!!! But this was your plans from the get go….
Nice signal on 15m .GL
Worked him yesterday on 10m SSB.
Strong Signal in Austria.
Thank you for the “New One” . Worked CY0 Sable Island for the first time.

What an amazing endurance. Thank you for listening my small-gun signal on 5 different bands. Well done guys!
Are they started with sending QSL yet? Still nothing received.
Got the QSL 3weeks ago, here in Germany. Request via OQRS + Donation. Nice card, of course.
